League Match Predictions

Where no predictions are submitted, or the above deadlines missed, the previous predictions made will be used.

Team & Strategies
The first set of selections requires you to have an understanding of the squad and of the opposition. Using your own skills and judgement, you will be required to select a starting formation. You will then need to pick your starting 11 and substitutes.

The scoring for the match decision section is as follows:-

1. Starting formation*** ..................                                                   20 points

3. Minute of first Sub...................                                                        10 points
4. Correct player selection* .......                                                          10 points
   (per player in correct position - goalkeeper, left, right and central defender, left, right and central midfielder, striker, sub)

Result Predictions
Predicting the outcome of a match requires an understanding of the current form of both competing teams.  The strengths and weaknesses of the team and the manager’s ability to outwit his opponent through adopting a better strategy.  Weather conditions, conditions of the playing surface, home or away advantage are also factors that need to be taken into consideration.

In addition to the standard predictions over the season we will focus on a variety of other aspects of the game and you will be required to make predictions as follows:-

1. Correct result forecast (win, lose or draw ).................................          10 points
2. Correct half time score .........................                                            10 points
3. Correct full time score ..........................                                            10 points
4. Correct Lincoln scorers (per goal) …..........                                           20 points
5. Correct Lincoln yellow & red cards ................                                      20 points
   (per card, double points for red cards)
6. Total number of yellow cards (both teams)...................                         10 points
7. Total number of red cards (both teams)......................                          10 points
8. Total number of fouls (both teams)..................                                    10 points
9. Lincoln player with the most fouls.....................                                   20 points
10. Gate prediction .......................................................                        10 points
11. Lincoln shots on target ...................................                                  10 points
12. Time of the first goal ............................                                            10 points
13. Time of first card.............................................                                 10 points
14. Number of Corners.............................                                               10 points
15. % Possession Lincoln..........................                                               10 points

The results of all predictions will be based on the statistics produced in the match reports on www.redimps.com provided by the Press Association.

Tie-Breaker Rules

In the event of there being a tie for any prize, the predictions above will be used to break ties, as follows:

If more than one competitor remains equal on points following application of all 3 tie-breaker categories above, the above list will be followed until the tie is broken.
